Still, the Knicks aren't likely to get 48 minutes out of Davis and back-up Mike Bibby. Shumpert filled in at point guard in those minutes that the real point

Hi Ibf team
I don't get your idea concept of using or powering an electric vehicle E.V. using power from the onboard battery, but what if you reach to your destination in a depleted state. Also how will you recharge it and at the same time with a reasonable cost effective renewable energy system? You can view my G.W.A.P. VEHICLE WEIGHTED AIRBAG PROPELS HIGH EFFICIENT GENERATOR. It has civilian and military applications.Alot of ideas were submitted on E.V. related tech, but am sad to say they have failed to deliver.
BIPV, BIWT, and any other Built-in energy producing technology, which will culminate in a Zero Grid reliance, and a distributed (preferably renewable) power generation. This much, we all understand, and indeed this challenge resonates with a multitude of similar ideas. It seems that there is no shortage of ideas in this respect. Unfortunately, quite a few of those ideas, are assuming, either implicitly or explicitly, that the market-distorting tendencies of providing financial incentives for these technologies, will continue unabated in the future, as it was in the past. What the world needs, and I am sure this challenge is looking for, is real innovation in making these technologies efficient enough, for a free-market competition. The sun is free, and so is the wind, but we have to look at the total cost of ownership, and this is where we need to look for innovation. This doesn't necessarily mean that prices must come down, though that would help a lot. Improving efficiency, would have the same effect as cost reduction, and it is equally, if not more, desirable. Under this light, can you please describe how can your idea be considered a better alternative?
Mar 21 2011 by pk47
First of all, we have new innovations in BIPV & BIWT, and any other Built-in energy producing technology, which will culminate in a Zero Grid reliance, and a distributed (preferably renewable) power generation. With existing technology it’s difficult to combine these systems so that the grid remains (High Efficiency etc.) Overall the system responds too slowly to peak loads (wind), etc. If we have also electric cars to be loaded quickly, then there are problems in the grid. Now we can prove (even with innovations of our team members) that our innovations to solve this problem. Of course, everything has a catch. So we use very expensive parts (at the moment). Nevertheless, the next one to two years should still be used to speed up this process.
Mar 21 2011 by ibf-Team
How much of a premium do you pay to have your own relatively tiny windmill? How big must it be to power the car as well?
Mar 17 2011 by Bob Stuart
I hope I have understood your question: What’s cheaper?: Large power plants and windfarms (centralized) or decentralized control and distributed control systems. I'm not sure !! …and since even think you should send both directions the same attention. One should also take into account that the existing technology is fraught with many problems. This technique may not be possible to solve the future problems. Example: In year 2020: In a village of 2,000 inhabitants 100 families have an electric car (20 kWh). Somewhere now invite 20 families a day at the same time in the same place (shopping center), at times at different times in different places its electric cars on the existing, centralized grid. Now the electricity provider has a problem. The grid begins to vibrate. In distributed and networked systems we can solve this problem(adjustable in microseconds, extremely high efficiency, highest cycle life). The micro-load power plants could stabilize the network. Now, imagine the scenario in a lot of citys with 2 million households and 100,000 electric cars before. The question is not only: What’s economic, but also: what is possible.
Mar 20 2011 by ibf-Team
My question is more about the very large economies of scale that have been achieved with wind energy, which suggests that a single mill to serve a large neighborhood would be much cheaper overall.
Mar 19 2011 by Bob Stuart
Dear Bob Stuart, sorry, my English is not the best. Your question is based on the cost-benefit ratio. Well, every new innovation is first of all a cost. These are usually well above what the average consumer is willing to pay, or at worst it can happen that the innovation does not even have an advantage .. I am thinking of the first home computers of the 90 years .... had it a benefit? They were worse than any typewriter and any calculator, and had not even replaced a separate screen (television). The benefits came later. I would like to ask the following question: What potential does the innovation have? How looks the world in 5, 10 or 20 years? Is the innovation suitable to produce low-cost commodity products that meet the needs of the buyer and protect the environment, to our world, a complex, sensitive control system, worth living and alive for future generations. The following innovations – I hope - help both holistic view of the self - sufficient house 1) Optimal use of daylight by a tool, I developed in year 2006. into account the shading in summer, large window for fall / spring. 2) integrated in the facade of wind energy. 3) solar panels in front and windows integrated. 4) E-car will be integrated into system memory and as consumers. 5) A new type of control, links the power plant as control the various components together. 6) Alternative: communication grid, car and house. With previous systems, this is not possible or are the losses (efficiency) is too high, not the cycle stability of the systems respond adequately and too lazy to use them so. At our house is all the wind energy, Solar energy and the battery / SuperCaps integrated, you can see the technique or not does not feel it as disturbing. Here, problems are solved: For example: Where does the wind, how & where he can go to, how the form must then be designed? etc.
Mar 19 2011 by ibf-Team
After carefully reviewing your idea, I'd like to add that the true value behind inovation relies heavily uopn an idea's ability to have future impacts economically, environmentally, and socially. These impacts are worth noting, because they remain the only way to help promote a greener and more energy efficient future. Through practical everyday application, it is ideas like yours and mine that will be critical to widespread changes. In order succeed in such an endeavor requires not only great enginuity, but also future market abilities. Check out the ideas I have submitted, and let's support each other to help build a better future.

How is the car related to your entry? Please share more about your idea.
In order to stabilize power grids, a simple law must be considered: It can only be taken as much power was fed before, and it must be fed as much as is taken away. So far, this is done in Germany by so-called controlled power plants, usually pumped storage hydroelectric power plants. But in the distant future also take on electric cars this job, not only by removing power from the grid, but in times of high network load and inject them. 2.5 million electric cars - five percent of the current German car fleet - would be sufficient to cover the entire rule Germany's energy and to make the expensive peak load power largely superfluous. (Source: RWE Germany, vehicle to the grid) This requires an intelligent power grid, in which these vehicles are integrated via a data interface. Via these interfaces, the car automatically send data to the network, such as where they are in, how much the battery is charged and when they should have a specific charge state. Our team have developed a number of innovations to solve the problem of grid integration - for e-Cars or - Wind turbines with highly volatile energy supply or a lot of different systems. Among other things the team designed - a street-legal e-Car - possibly with new design (see picture) - a complexe new controller for a micro power plant - with exactly the necessary properties for - a decentralized power structure and - an energy self-sufficient house
