Calling all early adopters...

Here is a rare visionary idea that is practical, badly needed by many and restores a sense of community that the world has largely lost. It's even more rare that this concept is affordable to most home buyers, ecological and highly creative in its approaches to community living. Should the first VillageTown be realized, it could easily become the new paradigm in community development providing a rich and soulful place to live for hundreds of thousands and ultimately millions of us who are starved for a place that truly feels like home and that places people before profits. Supporting the first VillageTown could lead to a new life for you, your family and friends looking for a soulful lifestyle

I can't wait to move into the first VillageTown!

definitely what is wanted and needed

An idea whose time has come! I am so enthusiastic about this concept that it is one of the reasons I am moving to New Zealand from the U.S., to help out in whatever way I can, and to be a part of the first Village Town. It's only a matter of time before our suburban sprawl lifestyle comes to a crashing halt, and we will HAVE to re-organize ourselves. This is a very appealing, low carbon footprint way to do it.

I would LOVE to be a part of this!

This is a great opportunity to set an example of what is possible. Build our communities to accommodate people, not cars. Cars are for traveling long distances between communities. Driving them where people are trying to live doesn't make anyone happy. Walkable spaces should not be limited to malls, resorts, and retirement communities.

And imagine having complete communities where even the very young and old and those without cars can participate fully in public life

I have watched the Village Town idea move from its nascent concept to its worldwide enthusiastic acceptance through careful development, presentations such as TED, books, videos, small circles of support and gathering of expert great minds. Grounded, well-thought out, revolutionary and something we are ALL waiting for, whether we know it or not! An idea whose moment is NOW! Rev. Nettie Spiwack

Hurrah! Seldom has such a comprehensive and insightful project been offered to anyone who has real concerns about finding a meaningful way to engage in a community which has the potential to provide a quality of life to young and old alike in a sustainable and fulfilling way. Jenney Wilson

At last! A visionary model offering practical solutions to some highly dysfunctional urban patterns urgently in need of overhaul! I like the comprehensive approach to issues that currently exact needlessly high cost on our societies. It's clearly ambitious, and looks to have given very careful consideration to resolving needs that present some huge challenges. I can see the rewards of a good life lived here!

I think this is most innovativ and common sense concept for creating human habitat in the 21 century.

It would be great to see this stand as a model for the future, today! Integrating the human-social and environmental elements does provide for the best economic model as well. Every university should be showcasing this very detailed model of how we should live and work together as one human family. For Earth's Sake keep up the great work and prosper. Dr. Tim
